Chris Drum began dancing as a child at a local dance studio that was a block away from her home.
In her teens, Chris taught ballet, tap, & jazz at the same studio. While in college, Arthur Murray introduced her to teaching ballroom & latin dancing.  For Chris, it was a wonderful opportunity to be able to work full time teaching partner dancing. Forty  years later, Chris is still teaching ballroom, latin, swing & country dancing.

Chris moved to Los Angeles 5 years into her teaching career and taught at the Beverly Hills Arthur Murray. This truly was dancing with the stars. She had many celebrity students that were learning for movie roles. Chris also competed in Professional American Smooth & Pro Am Scholarship American Smooth & Rhythm.  She had great success both with her professional partner & students.  Los Angeles was also a great opportunity for her to train in West Coast Swing and
Country 2 Step.

Upon returning to Pittsburgh, Chris became an independent instructor & competed professionally in American Rhythm & with several amateur partners.

Chris now teaches primarily in Greensburg, as well as many areas in Pittsburgh and Youngstown, Ohio, She holds monthly dances and workshops at various locations
and also coaches competitive and social dance students. Chris has formed a
West Coast Swing community in Pittsburgh - Westies in the Burgh. She has taught
at Boogie in the Burgh, Swing Pittsburgh, Cincy Westie Bash and Swingin' Dance Party.
